My experience: Alex's visit to Monterrey
Hello, I write to tell my experience to the terrible hurricane that hit my town, called "Alex."
As you know, Alex went through many cities, crossing the Gulf of Mexico became Tropical Storm to Hurricane Category 2, not very strong, yes, but not ourselves imagine what this hurricane could achieve.
all started a few days ago, about Monday 28 June, news came that a hurricane would come to Monterrey, some were happy, would mean it would rain (as you know Monterrey is a cd. Which is characterized by extremely dry and heat up to above 40 °), some were a bit worried, fearing to relive what happened with Hurricane Emily (2005) or the terrible, and until that day, worst hurricane ever presented in Monterrey, Hurricane Gilbert (1988) on Wednesday June 30, began the catastrophe ... "Alex."
all began in the early hours of 30, began as the typical "rain" was normal, even thought it was a hurricane, but the passing of the hours these rains were increasing, and for the evening, the famous Santa Catarina River (a dry river crossing the city monterrey was almost at full capacity) began alerts ...
next day on 1 July was the day of disaster ... get up, and as my house turns its back to the Rio Santa Catarina, we decided to go see him, What was our sorpesa! was completely full, had not stopped raining all night, we had almost passed in a single day, it rained in a year in Monterrey, the hours passed, and in the news did not see more than "ALEX", it was light, water, cable, telephone, in many homes, and many still do not return: (I was lucky that I was the only cable, and light a few hours but he lived and what we saw was happening to our people was very painful ,.... worst is over, the Santa Catarina River overflowed its banks, almost completely destroyed the two most important avenues in Monterrey, Constitution Avenue and Morones Prieto, many other disappears from the river was all that was within their reach, including houses, cars, furniture, and six people who unfortunately to date have been confirmed, have been killed by this hurricane, evacuated more than 4000 people to shelters, water in many homes up the entire first floor, could only be on the ceiling, waiting for someone to rescue them, What terrible having to wait on the roof of a house to your rescue!, with young children, crying with fear, without water removal, as well, who helps those families that the water took everything?, have no food, no place to sleep, families, Whole neighborhoods were devastated, destroyed, no longer exist, classes were closed in kindergarten, primary and secondary (these were to officially end on Friday) I graduated from high school this year, on Wednesday, but who cares!, if my People are suffering, this dying!, you have to have priorities.

What terrible having to wait on the roof of a house your rescue!, with young children, crying with fear, without water removal, as well, who helps those families that water took away everything?, have no food, no place to sleep, families, WHOLE COLONIES were devastated, destroyed, no longer exist, classes were closed in kindergarten, primary and secondary (these were to officially end on Friday) I graduated from high school this year, on Wednesday, but who cares?, if my People are suffering, dying!, you have to have priorities.

Today is July 4, Alex disappeared, but it did not disappear were the disasters that left us, property damage exceeding $ 390 million, traffic is incredible, and we do not have the main street, people sleeping in the streets, not eating, children crying for food and their parents can not provide anything very tragic, actually one ever thinks tragedy will live a this. In the news
stated that this hurricane was worse than Hurricane Gilbert (1988), appointed worst hurricane in the history of Monterrey, though there were many deaths as in Gilberto (thank God) the material losses were much higher, and well, they say, is material, what matters is to be alive!, true, very true, but what about food?, are the homes?, is the heritage of these families?, if living is more important, how are you going to do if no food? ... also the water in most of the houses still does not return, and that goes back as dirty, earth, and we have to (I add), which strain it, then put in a bowl to boil, and with that water can take , and the supers, shops, water is exhausted, is the most coveted now, people who lived there, on the Cerro de La Silla, drink the water that runs off the hill, it is very sad to see people never imagine doing that Just to survive ,.... is really impressive, now the money is not the most coveted, a glass of water is like gold to many people.
Monterrey is suffering, Monterrey are all in crisis, and while this is just further proof that the world is changing, we need help ... need the support of the world because the city the most damage this hurricane was the CD of Monterrey. I hope you do not mind that my letter is long, as I write is very hard to stop me XD but if you wanted to tell the crisis that exists in my city, where they see people sleeping and living on the floor, it is becoming very common. : '(Thanks for letting BDLT express freely in this space, if you publish this letter, I would very happy.
